About the Unit for the Business Community’s Cooperation and Foreign Investors
In January 2007, Unit for the Business Community’s Cooperation and Foreign Investors was established within the PR Directorate. The unit's main responsibility is to support and coordinate communication with foreign trade businesses in accordance with the Customs Code of Russia Article 14, Clause 14 for the purposes of creating favorable investment climate and promoting foreign investments into Russian economy.
The unit is intended to carry out various functions to support work of the FCS of Russia Advisory Council for Customs Policy, provide methodical support on communication with foreign trade businesses to regional customs advisory councils, arrange and hold official events (meetings, workshops, conferences, round table sessions and other similar events) involving FCS management, customs experts and business sector representatives (both Russian and foreign). The unit takes part in drafting of FCS documents that concern the business community's interests.
